In the beginning, a friend gave us one bulb of garlic. We planted it and we had nine bulbs from the single bulb. The following year, we took those nine bulbs, grew them out and harvested 65 bulbs! We ate some, gave some away and planted some and the following year we had 197 bulbs. The year after that, we harvested 1200. The next year, 8000 and so on, and so on…ALL from one bulb.

We have, over the years, planted and harvested almost 20 different varieties of garlic. With so many varieties, we toyed with the idea of becoming a Garlic Seed Supplier. Instead, we decided to process our garlic into our own special products. We chose the nine heartiest varieties to grow for processing in our on–site commercial kitchen. Thus Oddball Organics’ Nectars were born. And there were three.

Oddball Organics is a family owned and operated certified organic farm located at 162 McDonald Road, Quesnel, BC, V2J 6J4. We now own 152 (one hundred fifty two) acres nestled along a half mile of Fraser River Waterfront, we have evolved into making garlic our main focus. In this process, we’ve come to appreciate that quality ingredients are everything. As a result, we’re committed to producing unique, quality organic products using only 100 % certified organic ingredients in our on-site commercial kitchen.
